Screen Stays Dark, or Responsiveness is Slow During Testing? Do This Extra Step
If you’re facing a blank screen or slow touch responsiveness when you’re testing the replacement LCD and digitizer, there’s a workaround. Make sure all small parts – front camera, home button and proximity sensor, speakers – are connected before connecting the replacement screen to the test cable. If you don’t, you may find yourself with an unusable screen or touch functionality, and nobody wants that. It’s a bit of a nuisance, since testing is meant to save you the trouble of reassembling a phone before finding you have a problem, but this extra step may save you a lot of frustration.
