Following Michigan's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" executive order, Group Vertical has made the decision to maintain normal operations to help our customers and keep the essential business of electronics repair running.
The executive order, which is effective from 3/24/20 until at least 4/13/20, calls for the suspension of "in-person operations that are not necessary to sustain or protect life" and orders that "all Michiganders must stay in their homes unless they're part of that critical infrastructure workforce, engaged in an outdoor activity, or performing tasks necessary to the health and safety of themselves or their family, like going to the hospital or grocery store."
As a distributor of replacement parts for communications devices like phones and tablets, Group Vertical plays an essential role in keeping people connected to their family, friends, work, and news and updates about coronavirus. We understand the executive order has given rise to some confusion regarding which businesses are essential and which aren't, and we have been working with the state and keeping up on the news to ensure we are abiding by the state's orders.
We are doing all we can to keep our team members safe. We continue to follow all CDC-recommended guidelines, including social distancing, hand-washing, and regular disinfecting, and may work from home if possible. Any worker who feels ill or has been in contact with anyone who is ill is required to stay home.
Will-call customers must now ring our doorbell, and may pick up purchases at our front entrance. We strongly encourage all local customers to make use of our free shipping and stay inside if possible.
We also recommend regularly sanitizing your smartphone and other electronics during this time. You can follow our posted guidelines to help keep yourself safe.
We appreciate your continued support through this crisis, and we will continue to do all we can -- for as long as we can -- to support your business and keep users connected to the latest news on coronavirus.
Regular updates will follow as we monitor the situation.
Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay inside if you can!
