The Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) is a handheld game console released in 2004. It features a 4.3-inch display in the center with controls on either side. It competes with the Nintendo DS as a light, compact gaming console that is easily transported. There are several versions of the PSP: PSP-1000 released in 2004 with a serial port, PSP-2000 released in 2007 and appears very similar to the original with a video out port, PSP-3000 released in 2008 with a lighter colored face and a microphone, PSP Go (PSP-N1000) released in 2009 that slides to reveal the controls and has an All in One port, and PSP-E1000 released in 2011 that has a more rounded body and no Wi-Fi support.
